Asset Tagging Services in Kenya

Our crews mark your equipment with durable, scannable identification and record every item as it is tagged, so the register you receive describes what is actually in your buildings.

Untagged equipment is equipment nobody can account for. A laptop moves between departments, a generator is relocated to a new branch, a desk is scrapped, and the schedule in finance quietly stops matching the floor. Tagging fixes the reference point: one permanent number on the item, one matching line in the register.

Vexar manufactures its own tags in Nairobi and sends its own teams to apply them, which keeps a single organisation answerable for both the marking and the data. When a count uncovers fifty items nobody knew about, they are tagged the same week instead of waiting on a fresh procurement round.

We work with finance departments, internal audit, IT and facilities teams across schools, hospitals, banks, NGOs, factories and county offices - anywhere someone has to prove ownership of physical equipment.

What the service includes

Four parts of every tagging job

Numbering that never repeats

A prefix and sequence structure agreed with finance before production, so branch, department and asset class are readable from the number itself.

Tags made in Nairobi

Engraved aluminium, printed polyester and bonded tamper-evident formats produced in our own workshop against your approved proof.

Application by our own crew

Surfaces cleaned, placement standardised across each asset class, and every tag checked for adhesion before the team leaves the room.

Register built as we go

Description, make, model, serial number, location, custodian and condition recorded at the moment of tagging rather than reconstructed later.

Data capture

What we record against each tag

A number on its own proves very little. The value of asset tagging comes from the detail captured beside it while the team is standing in front of the item.

  • Asset number as applied to the item
  • Description, make and model
  • Manufacturer serial number where one exists
  • Building, floor, room and department
  • Custodian or responsible officer
  • Condition at the time of tagging
  • Purchase cost and date where records allow
  • Photograph for high-value equipment

Records are handed over as a spreadsheet or imported into your asset management system, structured so scanning a tag returns a complete history rather than a bare reference.
